Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian

Mardi Gras Fair Day

Cancellation

The cancellation of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Fair Day is a blow to us all, dampening spirits in anticipation of one of our community’s most vibrant events. I am sure it was a tough decision by the management of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and solely based on safety for all. Our hearts go out to everyone involved, from stallholders, performers and volunteers, who’ve poured so much into this celebration of diversity and inclusion. The following link is a list of all stallholders, and if you can, please support them online.

Despite this, the spirit of Mardi Gras burns brighter than ever, with a festival brimming with events that celebrate diversity from February 16 to March 3. With over 100 community events, including dance parties, theatre performances, and music, the festival is a testament to the undying spirit of our community, culminating with the Mardi Gras Parade on March 2. https://www.mardigras.org.au

This year, Trans Pride Australia proudly takes its place as the 5th Float, a momentous occasion to showcase the strength and beauty of the trans and gender-diverse community. Our team e space left; for those interested in being part of this unforgettable experience, visit Trans Pride Australia’s Mardi Gras 2024 event page. https://transprideaustralia.org.au/…/tpa-mardi-gras…/

Let’s unite, stronger and more united, in the face of adversity, celebrating the resilience and joy that defines us…
