All Trans Pride Australia financial members are invited to attend and also to nominate for the board.

If you are interested in nominating for the board, please email: with a short bio, the skills and experience that you will bring to the TPA board, your availability, and any previous administrative or governance experience you have (not required, but certainly valued!)

Nominations are required  by 14th November, 2022.

As a small, volunteer run organisation, TPA’s board members work in the governance role expected of all organisational board members as well as managing of TPA operations, events, and projects.

New board members start in the position of associate director. Associate directors:

  • Have the opportunity to learn how a board operates

  • Gain experience as a member of a not-for-profit board

  • Are expected to be actively involved in discussions at board meetings

  • Can (as with non-board members) get involved in projects and events

  • Do not have board voting rights

  • Are able to take on full voting board membership and nominate for one of the board’s elected positions, after a period serving on the board as associate director (usually 12 months)

If boards aren’t for you and we have working groups for people who want to volunteer their time and contribute to the activities of TPA.

All financial members are welcome to attend the AGM.
